Silke is a drapey, flattering tunic with front points that hang down longer than the back. She’s worked in one piece up to the English tailored shoulder seams.

6 (7, 9, 10, 11) skeins Elsbeth Lavold Silky Wool
(45% wool, 35% silk, 20% nylon, 50 g/191 yds)
5 (6, 8, 9, 9) cones Habu A-1 Tsumugi
(100% silk, 1.75 oz/472 yds) used double throughout
Approx 1100 (1300, 1700, 1900, 2100) yds
of a dk weight yarn that gets gauge
#6 needles or size needed to obtain gauge.
Six buttons
20 sts and 30 rows = 4" square – with two strands Tsumugi silk or one strand dk weight in pattern stitch.
