The cocoon wrap starts out as a big rectangle, but then you fold it and continue knitting to create armholes and a wide ribbed collar. What results is a cozy, versatile wrap. Worn one way, the fronts are shorter; worn upside down, the fronts become longer.

Note: There is no fitted bust measurement. To determine your size, keep your upper arms pressed against your sides and measure your full circumference at bust level (around the outside of arms and body). Do not add any ease, use the actual measurement to determine size.
Change needle size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
12 sts = 4" in St st; row gauge not important.
Note: Although the stitch gauge starts at 3 sts per inch, keep in mind that your work will stretch sideways upon wearing, to approximately 2.75 sts per inch. A looser gauge will yield a slightly longer wrap; a tighter gauge a shorter wrap. It’s more important to use a gauge that has the look and feel that you like.
